VIABLE Lab Presents at ISLS 2024

Lab member Chip Li presented research on LLM-based student risk detection and learning analytics at CSCL 2024.

We are excited to announce that our lab member Chip Li, whose research focuses on learning analytics and educational data mining, presented our latest work at the 17th International Conference on Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL 2024) in Buffalo, New York.

Research Presentation

The presented work, titled "Fine-tuning large language models for data augmentation to detect at-risk students in online learning communities," demonstrates our lab's commitment to developing human-centered AI solutions for education. This research aligns with our interests in explainable AI (XAI) and ensuring equity and fairness in educational technology.
